Five Things I Hate about Valentines Day

Sub header: Valentine’s day is all about love, but I only have one feeling toward it and that’s hate

Roses are red, violets are blue, there are five things I hate about Valentine’s Day that I want to tell you.

Number 1: The good old secret admirer. Who, reading this, has ever felt left out because no one made the effort to anonymously leave you chocolates or flowers?

Number 2: This day costs so much money. From a box of chocolates to a 24k necklace, from eating at McDonald’s to eating at a five-star restaurant – it’s just all so expensive, and I know I don’t have that kind of money.

Number 3: What’s your favorite flower? I bet it’s not roses. That being said, I can’t stand seeing roses everywhere.

Number 4: Family first. My mom will always be my Valentine and is always the one I show my appreciation for on Valentine’s Day. Make the people that you know will always be there for you the priority.

Number 5: There is so much pressure to get the perfect gift! In reality, your loved ones would be happy with anything you get them.
