Patricia Casimiro, Layout Editor
Oxnard High School senior Patricia Casimiro is the Layout Editor for the school’s newspaper, The Buzz. Patty joined the newspaper her junior year with the help of the advisor, Mr. David Page. “I love [the] newspaper,” she said. Outside of journalism, she is the president of two clubs (M.E.CH.A. and The Migrant Speech and Debate Team) and she volunteers at her local church with her sister. This remarkable editor is planning to attend a four-year university in California upon graduating from OHS. Casimiro has a variety of schools to apply to, but she is interested in San Jose state and CSUN. “My dream school is UC Davis,” but “My ultimate goal is to be happy,” said Casimiro.
