Verania Valdez, OHS junior and The Buzz newcomer, is an exceptional student and reporter. When she isn't writing a story, Valdez is strenuously studying or competing in clubs. This outstanding OHS student has been apart of Geo Bowl and Knowledge while still maintaining over a 4.0. Valdez is also on OHS' tennis team. During her free time, she enjoys listening to Coldplay, watching Grey's Anatomy and eating sushi with her friends. What draws the line between Valdez and a typical high school student is her ambitious mentality that drives her to achieve her goals. After high school, she aspires to attend a four year university, particularly Cornell, Johns Hopkins or UCI, where she will continue to display her well-roundedness. Once she graduates from college, Valdez seeks to pursue a job in the medical field.
