Vitaliy Kostylov moved to the United States from Ukraine with his family during the year of 2013. As a sophomore, he was recruited into Oxnard High School’s newspaper, The Buzz by the advisor, Mr. David Page. By becoming a part of the 2014-2015 Buzz Staff as a first year reporter, the modest 6”5’ junior said he wishes “to have fun, interact with people, and learn more about our school.” When he is not playing his favorite sport - water polo - Kostylov is working on ensuring he completes the school year with straight A’s. Striving to be admitted into a prestigious university by focusing on his academics, he is determined to advance his education for his underlying passion, making movies. Intending to major in Technical Engineering, he has high hopes of successfully entering the movie industry. The well-known Ukrainian considers a fine job to be one that he likes that will bring him enough money to happily live. Although he misses his hometown friends, Kostylov is making great strides in California, contributing a great companion to his school and friends.
